I recently purchased a heavily discounted "double pliers multi-tool" made by the Protocol company at our neighborhood Marshall's. On the back of the package, within inches of each other, are the following words:
BTW, the company has apparently disappeared off the face of the planet, hence their products' presence in Marshall's. Ah, the heady days of the dot-com era.
European Design. . .I can't imagine a pithier indictment of our consumer privilege. Thank G-d I didn't pay full price!
