Night Passage

I'm in the process of figuring out what to do with my photos from Boston, almost all of which were taken at night. My pursuit of the "real night shot" extended into the dangerously wee hours. None of the results are spectacular from an artistic standpoint. But when you factor in how difficult it is to take long exposures that look decent, the best ones acquire a supplementary sublimity. This photo is my favorite, both because it was the longest exposure of the bunch -- there was very little available light, as you can discern -- and because I get a strange film noir vibe when I look at it:
