Realizations of the Day

After a long day that started with my 8am class, proceeded up I-10 and back, and ended at Safeway, I reached the following conclusions:

• I don't mind passenging
• Realism can represent the apex of abstraction
• IKEA is almost more fun when you aren't there to spend money
• Oriental rugs really are one of a kind
• It makes more sense to park off Mill Avenue
• We aren't the only people who have trouble getting people to turn out for talks
• An appreciative small audience surpasses a disengaged large audience
• ASU is both less blonde and more diverse than U of A
• A house is still a house, no matter how tastefully appointed
• Finding Derek Jarman's Jubilee can be a challenge
• The whipped cream on a mocha is the best part
• I do make better time when I'm at the wheel
• My former office mate is a superb conversation partner
• Promiscuous documenting of one's sexploits is not the same thing as promiscuity
• Second nature is harder to describe than first nature
• I could watch citizens of the Weimar Republic board trains for hours
• Hot wings and hip hop are a perfect match for ESPN News with the sound turned off
• Melodrama is in the eye of the beholder
• The season of Cadbury creme eggs and Thin Mints is finally upon us

It was a good day, all in all, even though I missed my family, not least its ever-so-cute feline newcomer.
