I've had some nice compliments on my photographs lately, as well as a request to show more of them. I'll try to do that. In the meantime, though, let me introduce you to my "Picture of the Moment" album -- once again on the sidebar to the right of my entries -- where I store all the pictures I've taken myself and then presented here on De File (as well as a few others, I should add). I don't blow my own bassoon very often, but I have to admit to feeling a surge of pride as I scrolled down through the photographs -- they're now arranged with the most recent at the top of the page, BTW -- a few minutes ago. There's a nice balance between family shots and the abstract compositions I am drawn to in my more reflective moments.
Apologizing in advance to any vegetarian, Jewish, or Muslim readers out there, I still feel compelled to declare that bacon -- specifically the Niman Ranch sort that TJ's sells -- and orange juice are perfect for each other. I still haven't come down to earth from my breakfast high. Mmmmmmm.

I'm making a list of overused adjectives. It will include a subset devoted to writing about music. "Mancunian" will be on it.
