Confession

Well, I was originally going to draft a long entry today explaining why I posted that America-bashing quote in my previous one. But now that an anonymous -- technically, that is -- commenter and tommix have both claimed to know who wrote it, I must confess the truth. I would prefer to have made it a contest, but the internet makes it too easy to identify passages. So without further ado, I present you with its author. Wait, as I was writing this another anonymous commenter -- or perhaps the same one -- just proffered a link to the piece itself. I'll unscreen the comment now, but here it is as well.
