People like to talk about how reliable Mariano Rivera has been over the years. But, for my money, it's hard to beat Armando Benitez when you're looking for a pitcher to count on. My father and I have been following him since his Orioles days and, even though his statistics might suggest otherwise, we know that, however well he's doing during a particular season, he will manage to rise to the occasion when the chips are down.
