I should be going to see The Gossip tonight at Plush. They're great live and would make for a nice cap to a month of concert-going so excellent that I'm planning to write about it at length. The problem, however, is that I had such a great time at last night's M. Ward show at the Rialto -- he has turned into a great showman -- that I'm still bobbing up and down in ripples of bliss. If I go tonight, to a venue in which the presence of smokers will necessitate me drinking alcohol -- it relaxes my lungs -- in order to feel alright, I will cut last night's denouement short. So I'm going to stay home and work. Besides, there are plenty of good shows coming to Arizona over the next two months. Next Wednesday, for example, Califone, whom I just wrote about for Tikkun -- the issue will be out in a few weeks, I believe -- will be at Plush. Maybe I'll see some of you there.
