A Day Too Early

I put on one of the EPs from the new Sufjan Stevens boxset of Christmas songs this morning. The smell of pie and stuffing was overwhelming. But it felt too soon. Tomorrow should do the trick. I'll bring them along in the car for the drive up to Phoenix. Skylar will enjoy them, since she's a big fan, both of "Casimir Pulaski Day" and caroling: "With my shirt untucked/And my shoes untied/I mourned your luck/In a gaunt Yuletide."
