Portents?

Skylar is on the sofa, as she always seems to be at this time of day. But when I woke up at 5:30am she was still sleeping soundly in her bed. That's the longest she has gone without making the migration from her room to the couch in at least a year. Also, when I came out here and sat down at the computer it was shut off. And I didn't shut it off before bed. If I were Julius Caesar, I'd be getting a little freaked out right now.

No Future

I just watched Children of Men. Boy, that's one depressing movie. It made me want to A) light up with Michael Caine's character and then B) blow something up, all to a dub-step soundtrack. But it certainly is a good film. I was just teaching my class today about mise-en-scene and told them that in some films the little details of props and sets mean a great deal. Children of Men is a perfect example.
