Fresh Air

A week of horse camp has worked wonders for Skylar. Today, after her grandfather and I picked her up in his cushy, air-conditioned car, she insisted on riding with the window down. Several times over the past few days, she has suddenly declared that she needs to go outside to play, because she's bored sitting in the house. And she managed to ride bareback this morning without any difficulty, despite her anxieties. That's what I call $250 well spent.
