Thirty Four in a Row

I've watched every All-Star Game since 1974, when I was six years old. Many of them have been rather tedious to watch, once the excitement of the introductory festivities subsided. But tonight's affair managed to be reasonably entertaining throughout -- all the shots of San Francisco helped to keep me paying attention -- and absolutely riveting once the bottom of the ninth rolled around. Strangely, I was absolutely certain that, if Alfonso Soriano made it to the plate, he was going to hit a home run. I just wish the National League had pulled it out.
