Who knows how the story of Rick Ankiel will end -- you can see from his quote in this story that Tony LaRussa isn't holding his breath for a happy one -- but it sure has the potential to be the feel-good hit of the summer. Until, that is, someone suggests that his metamorphosis might have been artificially enhanced which, since he's a nice white kid playing in the Midwest, might never happen.
