It will powerfully reinforce my conviction that the world is against me -- and everything I stuff into that expanding sack named moi -- if Cal's Ryan Anderson fails to receive the honors he so richly deserves. After scoring 27 at Washington State Thursday night, shooting 9 of 14, including 5 of 8 from three-point range, with 8 rebounds, he went for 33 at Washington today, going 11-19, including 4 of 7 from behind the arc. Even more impressively, he pulled down a career high-tying 17 rebounds against a Huskies team that's murder on the boards, including 6 at the offensive end. And he did all of that in those two games while having to compensate for the absence of the Bears' center DeVon Hardin, who stayed home in Berkeley with the flu. I wonder if getting snubbed in the selection of finalists for the big end-of-year awards provided Ryan a little extra motivation.
