Sometimes I wonder whether the real point of watching March Madness isn't to reconcile ourselves to the fact that, no matter how far the underdog makes it, there will always be a bigger, badder Hund to prevail in the end. But then I remember that Michigan State's brutal trouncing of Penn or Florida's roughing up of George Mason are always going to be offset by the tales of Texas Western, North Carolina State and Villanova.
