Today's Fantasy

I was reading the excellent feature on The Daily Show that recently appeared in the New York Times when I was suddenly transported into a fantasy world where I could watch that sort of television with others and delight in the conversation we could have about and around it. Talk about atrophy. When your capacity for imagining a better world has been reduced to longing to stare at the screen with someone else, you know that something is amiss.
