The last two innings of tonight's Red Sox-Angels game was post-season baseball at its finest. Jason Varitek may be struggling at the plate and had a passed ball that allowed a run to score, but his hustling put-out on a botched suicide squeeze to end the top of the ninth was super. The outcome pleased me, too. I'm not really a Red Sox fan -- sorry,
letter_2elise -- but I still have a score to settle with the Angels after the horrible conclusion to the 2002 season. Plus, even though I'm pulling for the Phillies, I would settle for Manny being Manny against his former teammates. That would be quite a soap opera.
