Consistency Is the Gob Hobbling

A little while ago I sat down to read for a few minutes. Grabbing the magazine nearest to hand, I started reading Entertainment Weekly. After a while, I thought to myself, "I have been tuning out popular culture of a non-political nature even more than I thought. Now that the election is over, I really need to get up to speed." Fifteen minutes after that, I finally realized that I was reading the August 11, 2000 issue. It's amazing how little the magazine's format and prose have changed over the past eight-plus years.
