Getting It Up

The men's Final Four promises to be excellent basketball. I have a strong rooting interest, since I've been pulling for Villanova since Ed Pinckney and Dwayne McClain were Wildcats. And I was very pleased to see Tom Izzo's Spartans get to Detroit. But I am feeling strangely disconnected from the proceedings. Maybe there have been too many blowouts or not enough nail-biters like Siena-Ohio State. Maybe it's just that I'm feeling disconnected in general. Or maybe I just need to cut my sugar intake and get amped on diet Monster drinks instead. The impact of the Thin Mint and Cadbury Creme Egg season is not to be underestimated.
