In case you were wondering, Yuma does not bring out the best in people. Neither do Gila Bend or El Centro, for that matter. I'm hoping that the ocean here at South Carlsbad State Beach will be strong enough to wash away the desiccated remains of the day. The sound of the waves is doing its part, at least.
