Tornado of Bliss

Although my progress towards completing certain household tasks is frequently retarded by the antics of our kitten Punkabella, the bliss she finds in the expanded field of possibilities opened up by such activities as loading the dishwasher or sweeping the floor certainly makes the labor easier to enjoy. Just now, after turning one of my dust piles into a feline-scaled simulacrum of the final scene in Antonioni's film Zabriskie's Point, she hurtled across the kitchen floor at top speed and violently sunk her teeth and claws into the broom. Apparently, the minimalist dance grooves of The Field's Axel Willner throw her into Haexen-like frenzy of disorderly conduct. And she doesn't even need Aquavit to bring out her under-Swede.
