If Barry Zito's history as a Giant is any indication, he may soon pass this mini-milestone again headed in the wrong direction. But I'm going to celebrate it regardless, since it was achieved at a crucial juncture in the season:

If he pitches the rest of the season at even 80% of the level he's maintained since the All-Star Game, we have a decent shot at making the playoffs.
