I swear, I was beginning to think that a spell had been cast on Tucson. There were storm clouds circling the metropolitan area for days, but precious little rain. Then again, that's how life usually is in central Phoenix, so the thought did occur to me that we were being punished for giving in to boneheaded development à la our bullying neighbor to the north. Tonight, though, what started out looking like another evening of teasing without true release metamorphosed into hours of thunder and several major downpours. For that I am grateful. And for the rainbow over Pima Canyon that Skylar and I almost drove under -- I swear, it really looked like it was only a few yards ahead of us -- I owe more than I can express.
