Breath of Fresh Air
We woke up this morning, lying on the futon in the living room, to the sound of Kim's Soleri bell and windchimes in violent song.
The wind had arrived.
But it wasn't the hot wind of Santa Ana fame, but a cold one. Too dry, to be sure, but at least bracing enough to give a foretaste of winter.
The advantage of the queen-sized futon, as opposed to our king-sized bed, is that it necessitates proximity. That can be a problem in the heat of summer. When it's cool, though, the result is intensely comforting.
And what better day to wake up with an embrace than our anniversary?
