I've been doing one of my semi-annual purification rituals over the past two weeks. I avoid all caffeine, enduring vicious headaches, until I am finally "clean." And then I lapse into sin all over again. But that first cup of coffee is a revelation. Tonight I decided to break my fast as part of my L.A. trip. And the double latté more than met my expectations. The only problem is that, since I had it in the evening, I'm having a devil of a time going to sleep. Maybe I should read some Adorno to relax. . .

That's funny. That even made me laugh and you know how I never laugh at your jokes because they are so bad.

Exactly. Who says I never quote Pavement? See. Sometimes I quote Pavement. Sometimes I laugh at your jokes. I'm not so bad.

I do so want green eggs and ham, I want them Sam I Am. I want them here. I want them there. I will never claim to be neither here nor there. I want them everywhere.
