After breakfasting with my sister, her husband, and their delightful son, we took it easy for a bit back in the room. Then Skylar and I drove down to P.G. County to visit my parents while Kim stayed behind to work on another deadline and then attend another session of her conference. On the drive down I showed Bean the wonders of 301 -- traces of life before the interstate highway system -- and then stopped at Queen Anne, my 7-12th grade alma mater, to show her the graveyard at St. Barnabas. She loves cemeteries. Then it was on to Brock Hall Manor, where she gave the old printer box Sasha the cat loves a makeover, picked corn, blueberries, and a tomato, then ate a delicious salmon dinner my dad cooked, which she followed up with the corn, a bunch of my mom's wheat-free cookies, and several pieces of the wheat-free crust from the cherry pie I'm about to eat my third piece of. Now we're waiting until a critical mass of fireflies appears. Then it's back to Baltimore. All in all, it has been a very good day.
