I'm sitting in the Las Vegas airport, in the hideous C terminal Southwest uses. At least there's a Starbucks now. And I suppose there's something to be said for the fact that Las Vegas makes both my point of departure and my destination look really good. Free wireless, too. So that's something. Now I'm going to go look for a broom to sweep the cobwebs from my mind. It's be nice if there were miniature Totoros in there somewhere, but I doubt it.

No, I haven't. Maybe I saw the title, though. It was actually post-Civil War lit the way I taught it. We read "Daisy Miller," if you recall, and I may even have assigned a Bierce story. I'm nostalgic for my last chalkboard experience just thinking about it. . . :-)
