Either this shot is taken directly over/above the object, or the flower body was cut and pasted over a verdant background. I think the former concept is the reality, yet I like the latter, artificial concept better.....I wonder what this indicates about my personality; am I a romantic who likes nature only to the extent that it can be manipulated and implemented in fashioning things that are artificial......I'm cured by my scientific proclivities, me thinks.

"I'm cured by my scientific proclivities, me thinks"

And by "cured," I mean CURSED.

It's peculiar, isn't it?--the manner in which the advent of computers has facilitated the process of subverting meaning, rather than CLARIFYING it.....and yet some still remain structuralists.

I like the idea that it looks pasted over another background as well. Not true, of course. But the idea is intriguing.

I saw the shadow when I was positioning the camera, but I couldn't tell how it was made. It was a bit miraculous.
