When I forget to empty my pockets right away, I often find a time capsule of the very recent past. Sometimes there will be layers on my dresser or computer desk with a similar quality:

I like the chance juxtapositions that result, especially when they function like ultrasounds of a story waiting to be born.

Ever hear of Andy Warhol's Time Capsules? There are about a hundred of them. One of them was completely documented in a BOOK which I got used several years ago. That ephemera you find in your pocket is fascinating sometimes; it deserves to be collaged/scrapbooked as a documentary. Maybe I will do that on LJ...
