There is something deeply compelling about Lincecum's delivery. I think it's the realization that even the slightest deviation from a highly complex series of movements will result in disaster, as proved to be the case this past August. Plus, the story about how his father worked with him to perfect the motion, without any professional assistance, is really compelling.
I love the photo for that same reason. Wilson is a weightlifter. Timmy is a stoner. Or at least has the personality of one. They get along really well, too, and were the pre-season faces of the franchise, so I'm glad they got to close it out together. God, I'm so happy, still!
